5 Valuable Wisdoms We Earned By Watching TVF Aspirants

Although there are so many dialogues and incidents in TVF Aspirants that are worthy of saving on a notepad, we have handpicked just top 5 most valuable lessons it imparted. Let’s have a look…

"UPSC To Bahana Hai. Khud Ko Muh Dikhana Hai."

This one is perhaps the most underrated dialogue in the whole TVF Aspirants series. A little background for you. This is one of the very first scenes. Abhilash is planning to change his UPSC optional subject. And SK is trying to stop him from doing that. They sit beside a tea stall and meet Pema Rijiju.

SK introduces Pema to Abhilash and talks about Pema’s Rap talent. All of Pema’s family members are IAS officers, but Pema is happy with his Rap. SK and Pema start Rapping. These lines are written by Pema.

Why We Loved It –

Very often we don’t try out things. And later we regret our decision of not trying. We can’t see ourselves in the mirror. These two lines subtly tell us to try out the things that we are afraid of. Even if we fail, we will be proud that we at least tried. At least we can look at ourselves.

"Power Se Bulb Bhi Jalta Hai To Logo Ke Zindagi Mein Roshni Kar Deta Hai...

Power Se Current Bhi Lagta Hai."

Sandeep Bhaiya, the wise, calm senior of our protagonists says this dialogue. The background – Abhilash standing alone on the naked roof. He is tired of not being able to decide whether to change the optional subject or not. Sandeep Bhaiya calmly tries to pacify him.

Why We Loved It

If somebody tells us to find the best translation of the famous dialogue in Spiderman – “With great power comes great responsibility” – we would obviously choose this. This hints at the existence of corrupt IAS officers along with the mostly good ones. The emotion with which the actor Sunny Hinduja as Sandeep Bhaiya mouths the dialogue reflects the tremendous love for the country – and the hunger to serve her.

"Kabhi Kabhi Aapka Sabse Kharab Khiladi Desh Ka Sabse Achcha Coach Ban Jata Hai."

This dialogue is in the second episode of TVF Aspirants. Nothing can be as motivational as this. Background – An IAS officer comes to the coaching institute of our protagonists. She motivates the students with this line. She was taught by a teacher of the same institute who failed to crack UPSC. And she is thankful for teaching her so beautifully.

Why We Loved It

The USP of TVF Aspirants is it does not just focus on the good things. It has thrown light on the thorny path that leads to success. Not many people can walk on this thorny path. They either give up or are forced to leave. But we can’t call them failure. Why because of the second point mentioned in this article. They at least tried. And they have more experience than the successful ones because they are aware of the pitfalls. So these so-called failures can teach others how to avoid the pitfalls.

"Har Ek Mein Pagalpan Hai.
Ye Pagalpan Hi To Hai...
Jo Har Ek Ko Har Ek Se Jodta Hai.
Hum Thake Nahi. Hum Ruke Nahi.
Hum Bejaan Hue Nahi Hai Abhi Tak...
Kyunki Har Ek Mein Pagalpan Hai…
Kyunki Har Ek Mein Pagalpan Hai.

How much are you willing to sacrifice to make your biggest dream come true? Abhilash and Dhairya both are UPSC aspirants. And they fall in deep love. Abhilash has only one attempt left. He knows, if they both become IAS, they will not be in the same cadre. If one of them becomes an IAS, still they will have a very slim chance of being together. As the adage goes – “The flowers of love that appear in Old Rajinder Nagar never bloom fully.” Abhilash gathers all his courage to fight tears. With great pain he parts ways with Dhairya. It is one of the most painful scenes in the whole episode.

He returns to his rented room. He starts his UPSC preparation with renewed vigour and a fresh gust of hope.

Why We Loved The Scene

The poem is so beautiful. It warms your blood, it forces you to sit up from your stupor. It really is madness when all you see is darkness outside, yet you keep on driving not knowing whether you will be able to reach your destination. Without a touch of madness, you cannot rise above your fears, above the things that hold you back. But is it worth it? Read on…

"Mujhe Aisa Lagta Hai
Ki Main Ek Satellite Ki Tarah Hoon.
Jo Rocket Ki Force Se
Space Me Apna Orbit To Paa Liya.
Lekin Rocket Ki Ahmiyat Ko Bhool Gaya.
Bas Apni Hi Orbit Mein Gol Gol
Akela Ghoomta Rehta Hoon…. "

"Kusum Was My Rocket. I Lost Her To Achieve My Heights"

Sandeep Bhaiya, the idol of Abhilash keeps on trying to crack UPSC. Back home, his love, Kusum, is waiting for him to succeed and marry her. Sadly, he failed even in his last attempt. The rain drops, that day, helped him hide his tears. But how could he show his face to Kusum after risking everything and failing to make his life better?

Years later, Sandeep Bhaiya tells Abhilash, he never went to Kusum. He wanted to succeed. This ambition re-ignited the candle of ambition in him. He tells Abhilash that he started preparing for PCS and yes, he succeeded. He says PCS was important to rebuild his self respect.

Sandeep Bhaiya is now a civil servant. He has everything in his life… Except his love, Kususm. She could not wait anymore for Sandeep. Sandeep says, “There is no one to laugh and cry with you.” And here lies the futility of sacrificing the very things for which you wanted to have a high paying, respectable job. There is sheer loneliness.
