Cadbury Ads: Art of The Highest Level
By now, you all have seen the viral Cadbury ad that gave us the 90s vibe. The music, the passion, the cultural richness, and especially, the slow unhurried style – every aspect of the ad feels so relaxing and heart-touching. And along with that, the role reversal of the genders. To borrow Ogilvy’s own words, this ad transforms the brand Cadbury to something that’s not ‘just a chocolate company’ but much more than that.
Pulling off the creation of such an ad that not only mesmerizes the 90s kids but also resonates with the zoomers is not a matter of joke. It requires creativity of the highest level and an eye for perfection. This ad has seen the light of the day, thanks to a team of more than 20 people.
The Creative People Who Make Cadbury Ads As Sweet As The Chocolate Itself
Ogilvy, the ideation partner of Cadbury, deserves a standing ovation from whoever watches the ad. The relationship between Cadbury and Ogilvy goes way back and it seems that the PR agency knows exactly what brand Cadbury stands for.
TanujaBhat (who calls herself an experience collector), SwagataBanerjee (writer), Samyu Murali (the Art Director at Ogilvy), Kainaz Karmakar (Chief Creative Officer), Harshad Rajadhyaksha (Chief Creative Officer), Sukesh Nayak (Chief Creative Officer), Hephzibah Patha (Vice Chairperson at Ogilvy), Antara Suri, Parshuram Mendekar, Manseerat Kaur Sethi, Bhakt Malik, Prasidh Dalvi are the ones who created the backbone of this aesthetically beautiful ad.
The people at Good Morning Films did a fabulous job in visually recreating the essence of the 90s. The unhurried pace of the 90s has been beautifully rendered! Bob and Robin – hats off to you guys.
Mondelez International has its own in-house marketing team that worked closely with Ogilvy to produce this masterpiece. Anil Vishwanathan, Sameer Yadav, Deboleena Chatterjee thank you for giving us the opportunity to travel back to the 90s.
Netizens irrespective of whether they were 90s kids or not loved the ad. Twitter is filled with the appreciation for the post.
The reversal of gender roles in this Cadbury ad has specially been appreciated!
